I collect your secrets.

I sequester your peccadilloes
in dark security near my heart.

You tell me all your vilest deeds,
for I tally, but never judge.

(I forgive but don't forget.)

In the delusions of your elastic mind,
my smile cancels all transgressions.

Go on thinking my silence is compliance.
Labor under a perception that I'm weak.
I beg of you, believe in me,
even though we are mortal enemies.

Why, you wonder, do I trust you?
Because my arsenal against betrayal

...is You.

This is a Three Word Wednesday post.

Men are pretty stupid if they think they can read a woman's mind. Whereas man's is but an open book.

In fear and trembling I applaud this piece which flows so well and try to think what I may have said in the past!

This actually started as a commentary on a co-worker's hypocrisy, but it definitely evolved. Who wants to read a poem about snarky colleagues, anyway?

Maybe it's 'cause I just finished watching Revenge, but I would love to learn the secrets of these sorts of machinations.

Deliciously true some people never get that you can forgive but not forget and think that is endless. They perceive it as a weakness. They are sadly mistaken sooner or later you must make a break from a vicious cycle and there sins are never forgotten.

Being a trifle 'M.A.D' myself I also read this as an internal dialogue..an argument inside perhaps..fighting for what's right..fine poetry..shines like a platter full of nourishing words..Jae ;)

So, how about a follow up on this? The moment when the secrets are unleashed.
