Little Games

Little games we play,
supposed to represent real life,
but measuring only our ability
to guess the answer.

Don’t be sluggish
or combative.
Play along
with enthusiasm.
Pretend you don’t see the trick:
Fake
Phony
Artificial

Wear your favorite smile!

And when we’re through,
(Congratulations.)
have a bitter laugh,
and sigh for the wasted time.

Tomorrow we return to reality

This is a Three Word Wednesday post.

Smile and wave boys..yes indeed..reality is often nothing to smile about..but I think knowing it provides something a fake smile can't

A sad truth.

Here's hoping for happy holidays, Ann.

Perhaps that is the problem. Are we so used to putting on a facade even we don't know what is true. Perhaps by attempting to fool others we are fooling ourselves. I am what I am...a liar...a story teller...a romancer...a silly old fool.
