Buying Time

What fuzzy thinking got us here,
to where our expectation is
that magic does exist
and can be purchased
with a MasterCard?

But in spite of our best intentions,
(We shall make friends with Time!)
our incantations
have fallen flat;
depressed,
useless against the onslaught.

And so we go back:
another potion in a bottle,
the sharp end of a needle,
a powder in a box,
and a little jar of wishes, dreams
and peptides.

This is a Three Word Wednesday post.

I wonder if Earths other creatures are dissatisfied with their lot. Mankind it seems must fight everything even the inevitable. This is a bit sadder and darker piece for you Ann.

Peptides..what a stinging last word..buying time..killing time..stopping time..it's all such a muddle..although your wrap it up in a little tin..so neatly..funny how those little tins can mean so much..

Just purchased another potion in a bottle this week to fight the crow's feet - not with a Mastercard though!
