"Don't give your heart away carelessly," her
mother said. "Lose your heart, lose your soul."
Did she listen? Of course not! Love was too intoxicating,
promising new vistas where all was possible.
Everything, including heartbreak.
But to those who would say "I told you so," she
raised her chin. "At least I took a chance."
It's a little late for Valentine's, but when I saw this lost pin, I couldn't resist.

Awe. Cute blue pin. Yes, love leaves one vulnerable, that's for sure. Anyway, when does youthful "love" ever take advice?

It's definitely better to have loved. And isn't Valentine's all year round? :)

There's no season for Heartache.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
This is good and very, very real. Thanks.
March 15, 2013 at 12:52 PMGood for her, taking the chance. You can't get anywhere without trying, and love is well worth trying for.
