Living in Paradise

search
reach
grasp
look under every rock

(I know it's around here somewhere.)

I could have my heart's desire
if only I were:
prettier
smarter,
younger
richer,
anything (and anyone)
but
who I am.

Then I could attract
the person
the money
the job
the fame
that would lead to
Paradise,
instead of having to accept
that everything I
need
might be here already
(inside)
(ignored)
(overlooked)
(undiscovered)
inside of me.

This is a Sunday Scribblings post.

I think that when you look inside yourself you are headed in the right direction.

Yes..all that we need must be inside of us..perhaps the puzzle is to make sense of that..and to ultimately feel at peace with it..and ourselves..clear..illuminating words..as ever..

I'd settle for bringing in enough money to cover the mortgage and some home repair.

Love the fun romp through words to a brilliant conclusion.

I used to buy into that. And then life took a left turn and baby, I'm better than that!

I think that even I am a little softer person inside. The trouble is we rarely see ourselves in a good light. Writing is however a magic wand and you have used it so effectively.
