Clear as Mud

So many things lie hidden.

Glib words,
easy little lies.
Only one path out,
but it's too hard,
too hard.

Baby steps.
It's real this time.
Crocodile tears,
but trust anyway.

Wave the magic wand
and it will all be better.
Really.

Can't you see,
you cynic?
Why can't you believe,
oh ye of little faith?

Turn around.
Don't scratch the surface.
Leave it looking pretty
while it festers
underneath.

Can't you see it now?
The truth burns
oh so bright.

Yes, it's all quite plain.
Everything clear as mud.

This is a Sunday Scribblings post.

This internal dialogue feels familiar..I imagine someone making up theirs face perhaps..ready to go out the door in the morning..putting on a smile..but drowning underneath..sage words..as ever..Jae

Over the years we have adopted this style of speaking(and worse still in writing) of obfuscating the true meaning of what we need to say and substitute platitudes instead. A funny and true post so let's all return to the times of a spade being a spade.

Don't trust the crocodile tears and magic wands. The people who use them never hang around long enough to pay the piper.

Watch out for the lying wizards with magic wands! They'll do you in if you're not careful.
