Hooked

It’s just a rogue thought,
passing fancy,
a little dream,
a fantasy,
accelerated by a story line
that just won’t quit.

Quiet.
Shut up.

Silence the chattering mind.
Don’t bite the hook,
lest you be dragged to shore,
passive,
(dark island of your own derangement)
where you’ll be served up
by the natives
as a snack.

This is a Three Word Wednesday post.

Like walking the gang plank on the Jolly Roger - that's a good daydream to wipe away pesky thoughts and voices..

Every time we write a piece and post it we subject ourselves to this. We want to be caught read (eaten) and then praised...Yum! Hopefully.

I have no desire to become a snack, but must I Zen to avoid it?

It can be difficult to silence the chattering mind. I'd hate to wind up as lunch for the natives.

Never really thought of myself as a pot roast. Nice flow to this work and a funny ending. What more could a reader want?
